...and I really do mean finally. I have been more anxious than the kids for some real snow this year and it finally came!! (how many times do you think I can write finally before that word starts to look weird?). The best part is that I had no idea it was coming. I woke up to a pleasant surprise-other than the fact that we all had to drive into Burley in it, and I got to test Greg's car in Idaho snow for the first time. The kids had dentist appointments and I made Greg take them so I could go teach and I totally expected to meet them there after I was done, but 3 kids, 3 cleanings, 3 exams and NO cavities-except an inactive one on a baby tooth that is just about to fall out!! WAHHHOOOO!!! That makes a mom so happy, I think it is cause for celebration, if only I could come up with a worthy way to celebrate. I thought about getting them a treat, but that seemed to be a little oxymoronic, so I will have to come up with something.
So back to the snow that we finally got. After school we went out to play in it, look closely at these pictures and find all the mismatches. Really, we did it on purpose just so you could have fun finding them all. Of course it isn't because it finally snows and we finally dig out our bag of snow stuff and find that it is possible we donated all of our matching gloves to the dumpster and kept the bag of mismatches...that would just be silly!!

PS) yes that snow ball hit me, lucky for Dax it was only my pants and not my camera...little stinkers!
So Colt would NOT step off the rock-way and he fretted over that little bit of snow on his boot the entire time we were out there, but he LOVED the snow

oh why yes, those are socks on his hands-four of them actually I am nothing if not resourceful!! But hey they are actually matches so don't try to add them to your tally, and they matched his coat too.

I think out of all, Skye loved it the most!

I found this a little silly, Skye making snow angels while Dax drives the tractor right in her path-ironic!

speaking of ironic I was driving to town yesterday to drop Borg off at his appointment, you know
THAT appointment where he will come home with a few less hormones, anyways that is not the ironic part, more the reason I didn't stop. So I was driving to town yesterday (did I already mention that?!) and off to the side of the road I saw some chickens, 3 of them, and immediately I thought "why did the chicken cross the road?" and giggled. Just as I got close enough that there was no way to react safely they crossed the road and I hit one and then I literally laughed out loud and said out loud "Why did the chicken cross the road?" Ironic!
I do feel very sad, and would like to apologize to the chicken owner, but I don't remember which house it was, and there was no way I was going to stop on the highway with 2 kids, a puppy and 2 more chicken on the side of the road. So if you are missing a chicken, I am truly sorry that yours decided to cross the road, and that it didn't make it to the other side.
