Hey Remember This?

...I was going through Christmas pictures from past years and came across these I had totally forgotten I took these. This was the year Jacey got so sick! (I tried to find that post-might have to repost it next week...so sad!) but before she got so sick we had so much fun caroling in, yes that is a handcart decked out with Christmas lights-man I love my creative dad!

caroling at Greg's parents house-one of the many perks of having both families live so close!
caroling at the next door neighbors
little girl Cora
looking at this pictures and knowing what this little girl went through the next few days makes me so sad. She really didn't look like she felt very good here even.
Brooke, Dax and Trevor plus a couple of other body parts
is that not the coolest way to get around?!

my parents giant tree that the kids still watch for yet hasn't been up for years!

What fun times (minus the sick part)

Sentimental Sunday...

...ah I love Sunday's! Especially when we have the 9:00 session and get out 15 min. early. I got to hold my sleeping baby during Sacrament Meeting and I am pretty sure I kept getting looks of envy from moms all around me. Came home grabbed a snack, checked on dinner and then I locked myself in my room for my much deserved (I like to call it that anyway) Sunday nap. Ate dinner and spent the evening playing games and listening to my kids giggle. Speaking of giggles that is the inspiration for tonight's sentiments. Gotta get these WY videos up for the kids to watch, of course if I do it will only make them want to go again more!

This would be Colt's first up close and personal with a horse video...

and here are the giggles...

Movie Review...and Some Sentiments

...one of these Sundays I am going to get back on track and get the pictures scanned in so we can have some sentimental posts, but since that was not today I give you my review of Leap Year...CUTE! I really like Amy Adams (in most shows I have seen her in) and who can't love a love story in a romantic country? When you watch it (because I suggest that you do) you might want subtitles if you are like me and have a hard time following deep accents. I didn't turn them on and really like the show, but I think I would have gotten more of the jokes if I had them turned on.

Kinda boring, but hey some days are just like that right?! If you are really wanting some sentimental moments check out these...

Sentimental Sundays...

...BLESSINGS! While it was the kids that received the blessings I think I am truly the one blessed. All of the kids were blessed by their dad and while I can't remember what was said I can remember the feeling of happiness and peace during all of them.

Jacey: my mom made her dress and originally she was going to wear a very cute bonnet, but the ties tickled her cheek and made her mad so we opted for the headband instead
Dax: outfit made also by my mom. Dax got to share his day with his two cousins as well. He was blessed in my parents backyard. Skye: the easy parts of her dress was made by me and the hard parts were made by my mom.

Colt: his outfit was very lovingly picked out by me. I had good intentions to make it, but after making Jacey's dress I decided to spend the sewing time cuddling him instead.
love my kids so much!

Sentimental Sundays...

...so this post is for Dax. He was asking me what he looked like when he was first born and what I looked like when he was in my tummy. I also get asked a lot who Colton looks like and I have to say I think he looks like Colt, but at times and with different facial expressions I can see all of my kids in him.

So in case you have forgotten...this is me pregnant with Colt

and this would be Colton

This is me...sorry I don't have a baby picture of Greg.

Jacey...yikes that is quite the outfit of mine huh?!

me with Dax the Sunday before he was born

This picture looks EXACTLY like Colt when he lays on your chest

Sentimental Sundays...

...so tonight we are not reminiscing about family adventures, but going back to the beginning days of my photography when my kids were sick of me practicing on them and so I had to resort to inanimate objects. These were all taken back in 2004-5 and happen to be some of my favorites...I think I might need to go back to the basics just for the "creative" days like this...and keeping it simple.

Well the dr. was wrong...he was sure he would see me this weekend (I guess there are still a few hours) but yet I sit blogging. I keep telling myself that it is okay and to enjoy these last couple of days, but man I am getting anxious to put this phase behind me and start the next one. Thanks for all the concern and offers of help! I will let you know if there is anything we need, I promise!

Sentimental Sundays...

...tonight's post goes out to all my 2nd ward friends...WOW...I have only lived here just over 2 years and I felt the shake up of the new ward boundaries as though I have lived here for a century. It will be so sad not seeing all your pretty faces at church every Sunday, but at the same time I am excited for this new change. Being a "transplant" to the area and considering myself still "the new ones in town" I feel like I will be able to meet more people. But just because we are not in your ward doesn't mean we aren't still friends...GIRLS NIGHT OUTS are just more mandatory and will have to be more frequent I think! Now to all my friends that have to live with me in your ward still...too bad so sad...but I am so glad I didn't lose all of you with this change!

Okay now onto the sentiments that have nothing to do with new ward boundaries...nope, these go out to my super cute baby sis Cares-since you so look forward to checking the blog first thing Monday morning I thought I would say SURPRISE it is all about you in your younger days (man how old were you in these pictures like 17? That was 6 years ago...). For those of you that don't know the story behind there pictures...Carrie did a High School Internship with me at Wasatch Peak PT where I started out working as a HS intern. She then went on to work in a clinic in St. George and I like to think I gave her her big break...although she now lives back up north and works basically getting bribed all day long.

So here you go sis...
lifting the weights...very impressive!

the expert ice bag spinner...remember that other girl?! CRAZY!

yeah I taught her this one!

and I am pretty sure this one is staged cuz all we did there was play!

um yeah she is single...if you want her # let me know...we are pretty desperate to get her married off...just kidding-love ya Care

Sentimental Sundays...

...going back to Greg's camera and pictures that he has taken but doesn't ever post to the blog I found these.

Stuck in traffic-back in August when we were in Utah for a week and a half we had planned to make a trip to Oak City to see Greg's grandparents, but Skye got a mouth full of sores so we didn't dare but instead returned to my parents house. The kids were a little bummed so they hoped in the car with my parents and Greg and rode down to my brothers work (don't ask where he works I can't ever remember) they were having an open house and had a bunch of fun things for the family to do. These shots were taken on the ride home. Looks like they were having a blast huh?!

yet another reason people should not be allowed to smoke anything anywhere...most likely the cause of this fire. Lucky it was just the weeds and not the field next to it. Greg came across this on one of his drives home from work last summer

Sentimental Sundays...

...well here we are again reminiscing about our pasts. Tonight we go back to warmer days were clothes were optional at least for Skye.

Ah a hot summer day spent at the RAC...we used to live within a mile of this, but truth be told I prefer my quiet practically private swimming pool around the block to this "though it looks deserted" packed water attraction. They kick everyone out of the pools hourly to boost up the chemicals to kill bacteria...and other junk

waiting so patiently for the 10 mins to pass so they can go back in and play. Funny story...check out that twirly slide in the picture above (in the very far background). The kids LOVE to go down it, but at the bottom it is about 5 feet deep so obviously they can't touch. Jacey does fine to swim to the side, but with Dax's new swimming experience Greg was going to go down with him. They were waiting at the top of the slide for the lifeguard to give them the clear to go when Greg looked down to see Dax part way down the slide already. He was to anxious to wait and went by himself. Lucky they have a guard at the bottom and he was able to help Dax to the side. He thought that was the best thing ever and they all went on the slide many more times.

check out those guns! This was also taken the same week in August...you know the one where we disappear for a week and a half and do what ever we want whenever we want...ahhh looking forward to that week again!
For sweet! All tuckered out on a hot summer day!

Sentimental Sundays...

...so remember that camera I got Greg for his birthday (and Jacey's too?) well for the next few sentimental weekends I have decided that since they aren't blogging their pictures I was going to "steal" them and blog for them. So here we have this weeks sentiments...and we will call this "After 18 months of commuting 2 hours everyday you get bored" but notice his eyes never leave the road...now that is talent! Impressive how natural he looks...as if someone else took the pictures.

what a handsome guy...even with all the scruff :)

Sentimental Sundays...

...is called "I have lots of catch up to do this week that I better post these 2 pictures before I forget about them"

We had a real live Indian at our Thanksgiving dinner this year. Jacey made the vest and headband at school (check out that art work...wow) and the rest of the costume was provided by Grandma's dress up box. Landon wore this for Halloween one year and up at Camp Kiesel when we worked up there and had the Indian Theme.

So funny story about little miss Jacey...this morning I sat down at the computer and noticed that there was a "checkout" page and because I am curious and Christmas is coming I went snooping. I found a page open to buy a puppy and it had all of Jacey's info (including address and telephone number) entered in. The only thing blank was the credit card information. I was curious to see how she came to that page so I went back into the history and found the search that started it all. She searched "www.how can I get a real puppy". Yikes! I guess it is a good thing she didn't know my credit card info! We have never been too worried about her using the computer-even knowing she knew how to google, because Greg has blocked out any questionable material, but I think we might have to start worrying for other reasons. I think she has seen me buy things on line before and it wont take her too long to figure out which card in my wallet I use.

So there are your Sentiments for the week... to any of you waiting on pictures still first SORRY second it is my goal to have them all done by Tuesday...thanks for your patience!
